The American Dream

The American Dream is the belief that anyone, regardless of where they were born or class they were born into, can obtain their own version of success and happiness. The dream is often achieved through sacrifice, risk-taking, and hard work, not by chance. People who do achieve this tend to live in contentment and happiness. The American dream promises freedom and equality. It offers the freedom to make both the large and small decisions that affect that person's life on the long-run. The freedom and ability to aspire to bigger and better things and actually achieving them. The Dream also offers the opportunity to accumulate wealth and lead to a dignified life. The dream is offered to all Americans who have the drive to achieve it. While achieving this dream the American citizen must follow the rules and guidelines of the law. To conclude, The American Dream is a goal of many Americans, some achieve it, others don't.
