Kite runner 4&5

Today I continued reading kite runner. This book gets more interesting by the chapters. In chapter 4, it opens up with the relationship between Baba and Ali. Their relationship is really similar to Amir's and Hassan's relationship. Amir shares his writing passion with his father who dismissed him since he’s against men writing/reading poetry. However, Rahim is interested in what Amir wrote and reads it. Amir takes note of this and notices how Rahim is more of a father to him than Baba. Even after reading Amir's story Rahim left him a note with some advice and motivation on it. In chapter five, it opens up with gunshots and loud noises that frighten them. Baba was gone and Amir was being watched by Ali. By the time Baba came home, everything died down. It turns out that the king was out and he was overthrown by his cousin who led a bloodless coup. Amir listens to the news outside the door of his father's "group up times" and heard what was going on and he told Hassan who didn't have a clue. However, Hassan suggested they go play. When they go to their designated play "hill" they are confronted by a notorious bully and his brass knuckles. In this encounter, Hassan is called names and both him and Amir are afraid. However, Hassan stands up for himself and threatens to use his slingshot. This sent the bully running but swearing revenge. All in all, these chapters were enjoyable.
